Baker's Coat!
Steven has been telling me for 2 weeks that he has a surprise for me. For the first time ever he actually kept it a secret... until today when he led me blindfolded outside to the woods. There he gave me a broom stick and told me to swing high. I figured he had hung the pinata that has been with us since our friends decorated our apartment after our wedding. After about 8 hits it busted and hit the ground. I removed the blindfold and saw a package with what looked like a t-shirt inside. I opened it up and found my new/first baker's coat. It is so awesome! I can't wait to use it tomorrow when I make my friend Julie's baby shower cake! Steven you really impressed me! Very thoughtful gift for no reason at all. Thank you! Oh, and yes it is monogrammed with my bakeries name, in purple.

Cake and Roll
The cake was so good this was the only piece left after the going away party for our sister. The yellow cake and chocolate icing had everyone going back for a second piece.
My favorite holiday (Christmas and Thanksgiving) dessert is pumpkin roll. I decided to make it one last time before spring. I was able to share it with friends on Monday.

JOY cake
cake reviews: off the chart of yummy! It will disappear quick. My friend Joy's birthday is this week and I was inspired by her name to decorate this cake. The flavor from the cake was inspired by my friend Alicia's birthday this past week. I am working on my next cake for a going away party for a dear friend. She is moving back home to care for her sick parents.
I was also given some new cake pans from a friend today... I can't wait to use them! Maybe I'll have to incorporate the new cake pans into the cake for the going away party.

Birthday Cake
Tomorrow is my dear friend's birthday, but we are celebrating tonight. For her birthday I wanted to make her a cake. I wanted it to be catered to her liking and be totally yummy. So I made a 3 layer cake with the top and bottom of chocolate devil's food. The middle layer is plain white cake. The frosting between each layer and over the whole cake is peanut butter cream. The frosting is good enough to eat by itself, but is even better with the cake! Oh, and I also topped it with some milk chocolate chips for decoration. The goal on this one was taste... I'll let you know what the birthday girl thinks.

Welcome!
Thanks for checking out my site! It is a work in progress. My business cards are in and I am working on handing them all out. Also I have a couple of projects in the works. One is a wedding cake that is going to be a little classic and a little contemporary. The concept is a three tier square white cake. The colors of the wedding are black and white so I'm going to do a black ribbon around the bottom of each tier. I think it will look really sharp!
My last wedding cake I did was also square three tier, but the bride wanted columns between each tier. (pictured above)
I am taking orders! Give me a call or email me and let me know what I can make for you! Everything is custom made and I can do anything big or small. Thank so much!

A dream, maybe one day a reality!
Not often in life do you get to make a living doing something you love... I hope one day I can.
One of the things I enjoy doing is baking. I could bake every day. This is a new adventure for me to pursue. Hopefully people will want to eat what I bake. I am just getting started with this blog and with some business cards. I have a meeting with a potential client this week for a wedding cake.
I look forward to posting pictures of some cakes I have done in the past and continue to add pictures as more cakes are make. Please feel free to comment if you are interested in a cake or anything baked!
